The Inaugural Harvard Black Commencement of 2017 was the first university-wide celebration of graduating students who identify with the African diaspora in Harvard University. The Harvard Black Commencement of 2017 honored the academic achievements of Black Harvard graduating students and their families. The ceremony featured four student keynote speakers, a performing act by Boston youth, and individual congratulations to each student as they walked across the stage.
